TV Nova brings together soap operas, reality shows and journalism — all free. You can find the official app at Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS); just type “TV Nova CZ” in the search.
Tap on Install and wait for the download; it weighs about 40 MB, so even 4G networks can handle it.
Open it, allow storage access (required to save cached episodes), and log in with email or social account.
There you go: The home screen displays “Live” and “Catch-up.” Click the gear to turn on automatic captions and adjust quality—useful if you’re on a limited data plan.
ČT1, Česká Televize's public channel, has a joint application called iVisualization. Search for this name in the Play Store/App Store.
Tap on To obtain or Install; the file is about 30 MB. Once opened, select “ČT1” from the side menu.
The app does not require registration; just agree to the terms and enjoy HD broadcasts.
Ninja tip: go to Settings ▸ Download over Wi-Fi only to avoid surprises on your mobile phone bill. Picture-in-picture mode is automatically enabled from Android 8 or iOS 14.
To watch Prima TV on your mobile phone, install the Prima+ (iPrima drive). It is available on both the Play Store and the App Store; the download is around 55 MB due to the reality show extras.
After installation, create a quick profile with Google, Apple, or email. The free version gives you access to the linear channel; paid plans offer on-demand series.
On the menu Downloads, enable “Adaptive Quality” so that the app adjusts the image according to the signal.
Don't forget to turn on notifications: the bell icon reminds you when MasterChef Česko starts or that championship final you don't want to miss.
The same iVisualization includes ČT Sport. If you already have it installed for ČT1, great: open the app and switch channels using the ball icon.
Otherwise, download it now — it's the same 30 MB and the process doesn't change.
When you open the sports section, click on the three dots and select Multiple Cameras; this way you can switch angles during the game.
To download highlight clips, hold your finger on the clip and choose “Save Locally.” It’s recommended to be on Wi-Fi, as replay videos can be 100 MB each.
Still within the iVisualization, select ČT2 at the top. If you don't have the app, download it first.
When you open it, tap the magnifying glass icon and explore the categories Film, Nature and History.
Want to watch offline? Press the download button next to the title; the movie will go to the “My Media” tab.
Before closing the app, set Sleep Timer in Settings. This will pause the streaming on its own, saving battery while you fall asleep to that relaxing doc.
ČT24 also lives in iVisualization, simplifying the ecosystem. After installing or opening, click on ČT24 from the drop-down menu.
Allow notifications and set filters: politics, economy, sports or breaking news.
If you prefer audio only, tap the headphone icon; the app will download smaller streams, ideal for 3G.
For last minute subtitles, turn on Automatic Transcription in accessibility options — a valuable feature in noisy places.
Installing and configuring these six apps takes minutes, but the payoff is hours of fun and information.
Just access Google Play Store or App Store, search for “TV Nova CZ”, “Prima+” or the package iVisualization, touch Install and follow the tips for quality adjustment, offline downloads, and notifications.
This way you ensure that watch TV on mobile phones is a fluid experience, without extra costs or crashes.
Now it's your turn: download, customize and turn any break in the day into a private show — all in the palm of your hand!
